Make a Commitment to the 10th Anniversary
_ •Give to the Campaign for Justice as generously as you
can. Leadership actions can be gifts of
$1,000 and above, but it also can be raising your last gift to the next division (e.g. $100 to $250 or $1,000 to $1,500) or giving 10% more than your last gift to the Campaign.
* Volunteer to get 10 colleagues who have never given to the Campaign or not given recently to do so. They may simply not know enough about the need and how they can make a difference--or they need to be inspired to renew their former support. *Volunteer to get 10 colleagues who give less than you do to join your giving level. •Volunteer to organize your firm to become a “Leading for Justice Firm.” Check out the leadership recognition categories and convince your firm to give individually and collectively to take a public stand for legal aid leadership in Maine. •Volunteer to organize members of the bar in your county to increase county-wide support for the Campaign. •Contact any of the providers about volunteer opportunities and pro bono needs for Maine adults and children who are disadvantaged. •Sign up for the Campaign’s Facebook page for stories, quotes and data that everyone should know about the face of legal aid in Maine. To volunteer to organize your firm or to ask others to join you in supporting the Campaign, you can download an "Advancing Justice Action Card" and return it to Campaign for Justice. Or you can call the Campaign for Justice Coordinator Cathy Coffman at 710-4918 or email her at mainecampaignforjustice@gmail.com. She will work to support your efforts and to coordinate volunteer actions to avoid duplication of efforts. |
