The Muskie Fund for Legal Services
Each May, the Friends of Pine Tree serve as the Dinner Committee for the annual Edmund
S. Muskie Access to Justice Award Dinner. The Dinner was launched in 1996 as a way
to honor the commitment of Senator Muskie to justice issues in Maine and to the work of
Maine's legal service providers, including Pine Tree Legal Assistance. Past honorees have
included Senator William Cohen and Maine corporate leaders Buzz Fitzgerald and William Ryan.
The 2008 Dinner will be held on May 28, 2008.
